Travel Adventures
Our trips, to select destinations, will push yourself outside your comfort zone while creating lasting friendships and memories.
“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone.”
“All you need is 20 seconds of insane courage. Just literally 20 seconds of embarrassing bravery. And I promise you something great will come of it.”
You may remember this quote from the movie “We Bought a Zoo.” I remember hearing it and thinking, “YESSSS! That’s it, just 20 seconds of tuning out the fear and taking the leap.” Easier said than done though. We all have leaps we want to take. With any move from the known to the unknown there is a gap, and that’s when you have to leap. Here’s a little formula which may help you. Ask yourself the following three questions:
- What is the best case scenario if I leap?
- What is the worst case scenario if I leap?
- What will my life look like if I don’t leap?
Often, the answer to the third question will be worse than the second. Get very clear on what you are leaping towards and why. If you can accept and plan for your worst case scenario, the next step is to put all your focus and effort on your best case scenario. Not a 98% commitment, which will lead to decision fatigue, you need to commit 100%.
Are you ready to take the leap and travel together?
All it takes is 20 seconds of insane courage!

Azores Hiking Adventure
May 4-10, 2024
Sao Miguel is the largest island in the Azores, and for most visitors, their first introduction to this archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. It’s a nature-lovers paradise, full of great trails, pounding waves, and exceptional views. Like most of the Azores, São Miguel has volcanic origins, and the remnants of several dormant volcanic cones create much of the island’s scenic attractions, including the twin lakes of the Sete Cidades, Lagoa de Fogo (Fire Lake), and the popular snorkeling islet off the coast of Villa Franca de Campo. Being geothermically active, bathing in natural hot springs on the island is a popular activity and traditional meals are cooked in pots inside active vents. If you are a fan of wide open spaces, fresh air, and gorgeous scenery — and love to nature walk and hike — this is the trip for you!

Provence Adventure
June 22-29, 2024
Provence is a region full of sensory romance, with its breathtaking vistas, mouthwatering cuisine, and small-town tranquility. Our home base for the week will be Roussillon, in the heart of the Luberon Valley. The village lends itself as a haven for artists and the streets awash with galleries and generous splashes of color. At sunset, the village of Roussillon practically glows, its fiery red and orange buildings lighting up the surrounding landscape. Its unique color palette is due to the large ocher clay deposits in the vicinity. Our week will be spent exploring all the various corners of Provence, from the blossoming lavender fields, to the surrounding medieval hilltop villages, all the way down to the mediterranean sea. Get ready to fall in love with Provence.

FAQs
Below are the answers for our most commonly asked questions. If you don’t find what you’re looking for, please contact me.
Who are these trips for and do I have to be in recovery to sign up for one?
I believe we are all in recovery from something. That being said, you do not have to be in recovery from any specific thing to attend. The trips, however, are for women only and alcohol free.
Will 12 step meetings be available?
I, personally, do not adhere to a 12 step program for my recovery. There are online options to attend meetings worldwide and wherever we travel wifi will be available.
Why are the trips for women only?
A magical thing happens when women come together. I have been a witness and benefited from it many times. I believe we need spaces where we can be vulnerable and support one another without the presence of men.
Women explicitly includes cis women, women of color, and femme-feminine identifying genderqueer and non-binary folks (as well as any intersection of those identities and experiences).
Will I be paired with a roommate?
Yes, I will pair you with a roommate unless you indicate you would like to room with someone specifically. A private room will be available for an additional cost.
